Read any good books, lately?

A few of my friends have started a little book club, but we are in need of book recommendations. And that, my faithful readers, is where you come in. Don't try to fool me - I know that you are literate, since you can obviously read my blog (or maybe you just like to look at my pictures- but whatever), and I'm assuming you read books (after you've finished reading my blog, of course).

So... if you would like, and if you would be so kind, please leave a comment with the title of the book(s) you think we should read and discuss.

Oh- and if the book sucks, we will totally blame you and gossip about you. Since that's the type of people we are. Just so you know.

Thank you kindly.

Hey Ash! Well, I don't have too mucht ime to read right now but the last book I read was a book called Master, it was really good!! But it is a church book... so I don't know if your club wants church books... :) just thought I would throw it out there. It was really good though. I think it's by Toni Sorenson maybe. It's packed away right not though..

Waaa I want to be in a book club!

"The Road" is an amazing book and will make for a good discussion. Will be a movie also.

"Change of Heart" my first Jodi Picoult novel, it was very good.

...and for a totally charming book which I loved! "Secret Life of Bees"

Oh sweet! You all have very good suggestions. I am starting up a list of all of these books- it should keep us busy for a while!

Michelle- maybe we'll set up a webcam so you can join our group via cyberspace. But make sure you keep it G-rated. Kennedy will probably be there. He he

curious george visits the doctor...
i found it riveting, emotional, and triumphant.
i mean you can never go wrong with a book about a monkey swallowing a foreign object, that's what i always say.

and i really do always say that.

I agree with your mom on The Time Travelers Wife - one of my favorites! Also:

Sea Glass by Anita Shreve
Fortunes Rock by Anita Shreve
The Secret Life of Bees (repeat)
Escape (another repeat)

I'm jealous! I had to quit my book club because of school. I don't have time to read anything other than my textbook (& blogs!)

Happy reading :)

Anything by Anita Diamant...she wrote The Red Tent, The Last Days of Dogtown, Good Harbor.

Diana Gabaldon-Outlander series is one of my all-time favorites.

And yes, Time Traveller's Wife and The Lovely Bones are great choices.

Also, any Nick Hornby. High Fidelity would be a good place to start with him.

I just got Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society for Easter. I haven't read it yet, but I've heard it's good. It got 4.5 stars out of 5 on Amazon.
