I swear I do more than travel.

While looking back through my blog posts during the last year (which are few, unfortunately), the majority of them are about traveling to distant (or not so distant) lands.  One would think that this means the majority of my time is spent on holiday.  I promise you, that is not true.  Yes, yes, ok. I go on vacations to super fun places. But that's not ALL I do. I swear.

So why are so many of my posts about my vacations? I have a very good explanation for this.  I WANT to spend the majority of my time vacationing. Maybe if my blog is all about traveling, my life will eventually be all about traveling. (Or maybe the real reason is that I'm a slacker when it comes to blogging, and when I finally DO blog, I just want to talk about the fun exciting and new stuff.)

Anyway.

This time, our adventures took us to the beautiful Caribbean by way of a cruise ship (pictures contained in my next post). This cruise was originally planned to be a BIG family vacation- with a bunch of my extended family (aunts/uncles/cousins). Unfortunately, life happens, and all of them had to back out, for one reason or another.  My brother and I were the last two standing (with our little families).  We were very sad that the rest of the family couldn't join us, but we were still excited to go.

BUT FIRST.

Before the cruise, my brother (Brandon) and his family came here and stayed with us for about 2 weeks. It was fabulous! My mom even came to join us for a little bit.  We had such a great time together (as always). K and her cousins played NONTSTOP. I loved seeing them have so much fun together.

Here are a few pictures from the 2 weeks they were here with me.

Isn't his hair pretty? I think so.

I helped Emily make her birthday cake (she requested a Minecraft cake).

We went camping. (It was a bit cold for these Balinese folk, but it was a lot of fun.)

And we spent some time in Park City.

SEE? This post contained zero pictures of faraway places. Zero. So that's not all I do.

Anyway, that's all for now. Because this is a lot for one post. And I don't want to overwhelm you. I'll save the overwhelming-ness for next time.

And I will tell you some big news.

Which most of you already know.

And the rest of you can possibly guess.

But I will pretend that you are all in suspense, anyway.

Because that makes it more fun.
