Kennedy wanted her hair dyed red for "crazy hair day" at the babysitter's. We used kool-aid. It BARELY made it pink. But at least she was happy with it.
Fun times were had.
Kennedy started 3rd grade.
With her new lime green shoes.
And she looks far too cute in her cowgirl boots.
My garden has been throwing more vegetables at me than I can realistically consume. So I've made a lot of zucchini bread. And caprese salad. Mmm.
I also had a girl's weekend with my mom, aunt, and cousin. We went to San Diego. "Saint Diego."
Did you know there actually was never a Saint named Diego? It was actually named after Saint Didacus, but they thought "Diego" sounded better, so they changed the name. You learn something new every day, don't you? I know I do.
Hi mom!!
Of course we HAD to go to the beach. Coronado. *Sigh...
I also had Italian gelato in Little Italy. How fitting.
And now that summer is over, I'll be working myself crazy to make up for all of this time off. Of course, that is until the vacation bug kicks in again... I give it 2 months. Max.

Cute, cute and cute!! You, my dear are just too cute. And let's talk about our daughters and their choice in footwear- Tay chose those exact same shoes. It threw me. They are the last ones I would have thought she would choose.
You and your cute daughter make me want to vomit. in a good way.
Cuteness makes me want to vomit.
So do bananas.
And pregnancy.
And looking in the mirror.
But I digress.
Such great photos Ashley! You look AMAZING, as always, and Kennedy is such a cutie. Looks like you have been having a blast! You and J'Neil look like Christmas in red and green. :)
What fun! Glad you can take so many fun trips. You and Kennedy both look great. How is it that you ended up with the good sense of style? I think I'm getting a little better, though...
Just really LOVE reading your blog!! You always make me smile. Both you and Kennedy look FABULOUS! Thanks for the visit... I always enjoy your visits so much.
An image of your garden throwing vegetables at you made me laugh. Are you able to catch them when they are thrown? Or do they hit you in the head or other places?
Kennedy Rae is so dang cute. I'm glad her best friend is in her class this year.
Didn't you love hearing Italian spoken as we walked down the streets of Little Italy? :)
I don't think you're going to make it to the end of the year without two more pretty significant vacations...
@Mom- lol. I am actually frantically trying to dodge the vegetables as they are being hurled at me :) And yes! I loved hearing Italian being spoken on the streets... I *almost* felt like I could have been in Italy.
Two more significant vacations might not be a bad idea... :)
