Another year

Just like every year, my birthday was on the 11th. Yay me. And it doesn't really matter how old I am. All that matters is that I'm still in my roarin' twenties.

What did I want to do for my birthday?

Me: Hey Kennedy- daddy is working tonight, so you and I are going to do something fun for my birthday.
K: Really?!? What???
Me: Well, after we finish our dinner, we'll go to the store...
K: Uh huh.... [big smile on her face- bouncing up and down with anticipation]
Me: And we'll each buy ourselves a new puzzle, and then we'll come home and do them!!
K: ..... oh. [apparently a puzzle isn't what she considers "fun"]

Luckily, when we arrived at the store, she was very excited to choose her very own Hello Kitty puzzle.

I may have just outed myself as a nerd, but I think doing a nice, big, 1000 piece puzzle is a great way to celebrate another passing year.

You're a very cute and cool nerd.

Did you put jewels on the puzzle when you were done with it? :)

LOL... I should have put jewels on it :) Maybe I'll put them all over the box. Haha.

doing puzzles in your twenties is not nerdy, its cool.
your thirties? that's questionable.
your forties? well now that's just grandmaish.
so never fear, you have a few more years of coolness left in you.
