Days 1 - 3

Time has finally granted me a few spare moments. AND my super-amazing-talented-intelligent brother was kind enough to repair and give me this laptop, so that I can actually update my blog while I sit in the living room and Kennedy watches Scooby Doo. (Thanks, bro!)

So, nearly a month and a half later, here is the first real installment of our Hawaii trip.

Day one.

We arrived at Oahu (the main island) on Friday afternoon, picked up our car and drove on over to Schrader's Windward Country Inn, in Kaneohe Bay (which I would highly recommend, except make sure that you get a room that has been recently updated. I hear that the other ones suck). The area looked a little sketchy, but I think most parts of Oahu do. Actually, after we took our bags down to our room (the room was beautiful, btw), we were in heaven.

These were some views outside our lanai (balcony).

And this sweet smelling flower (Plumeria) was filling our hotel room with it's beautiful aroma.

After we hung out at the hotel for a bit, we went for a walk, where we met a super cool parrot. He seemed to really enjoy showing off.

We then grabbed something to eat, and went to see Angels & Demons. I give it a B+ or A-. (And due to the fact that Justin had not slept for about 48 hours straight prior to this point, he fell asleep during the movie. I only nudged him when he snored.)

And then back to the hotel to sleep. It was much needed.

Day two.

Mmm. Yummy continental breakfast.

Saturday was the day we went out on the boat, snorkeled, and played at the sandbar.

And had our first sea turtle sighting.

Afterward, we drove around, got some food, and stumbled upon a beautiful cemetery...

...wherein we found the beautiful Buddhist temple (filmed in LOST, remember?). I took a gazillion pictures.

Gorgeous, huh?

We fed the Koi who seemed to multiply by the second.

And Justin fed the birds who obligingly ate from his hand.

We ate more food and hung out.

Day three.

Justin tried with all his might to lure a black crab into his grasp.

But they were quick and stealthy. Like ninjas.

Drove around, again. Took some pictures.

And since we saw the Buddhist temple we thought we should visit the LDS temple, as well.

Went to Pearl Harbor. Learned some lugubrious history.

Then we went to the airport and were on our way to the beautiful island of Kauai.

Up next: Day 4. The Garden Island.

Wow, so beautiful, and I think I would be in heaven just with the plumeria smell to perfume the air. :) I really need to get myself to Hawaii one of these days...
