Horton does a what?

Let's see how I'm doing so far:
  • Taking more pictures- Check.
  • Blogging more- Check.
  • One judge brownie per week- Check, as long as I don't have any more until next Monday...
  • Exercise... um...
Ok, I'm good on 3 so far. Not terrible. Aim low and I'll never be disappointed.

So for Christmas, Santa brought Kennedy the game "Horton Hears a Who," where you spin a spinner, move your "guy" across the board, put on a little elephant headband and run/hop/crawl/flap/tiptoe to the whatever-colored Who clover (which Kennedy places all over the living room) and then bring it back before the timer runs out.
I was obviously a little too excited while hopping to the pink clover, Justin flapped like an eagle to the red clover, and Kennedy was the perfect little Horton getting all the other ones.

Oh- and you can't use your hands to pick up the clover. You have to plant your face into whatever piece of furniture has the clover on it while trying to get the velcro to stick. (You like the cool piece of art? It was from my mom for Christmas. I love her sense of style.)
As fun and exciting as this game is, I don't know how many more consecutive days I can play it. We might have to "lose" it for a week or so...

Do you have any fun or not-so-fun family games you play?

Hey, if you walk to the Judge Cafe to get the brownie, does that count as exercise???

Game looks like fun :) ... for awhile anyway. I understand the urge to lose it.

I miss the franatic nertz games we used to play - both at my house and over at hunsakers.

i think i will die of "mind numbing boredom" if i have to play one more game of Life. Firstly, the game is ETERNAL and that flipping spinner always flies off it's nob thing. Then I have to replace my "people" every time I pick up my freakin vehicle because my fingers are apparently GINORMOUS and always knock them out.

The game is now banned. Lucky for us we got like 10 more new games for chirstmas. Here's to hoping there's a horton somewhere in that pile..

Hey 3 outta 4 aint bad Ashley. I say ease up on the Hudge brownie one though.

What a cute game. I admire any game that makes you look like a fool and still have fun doing it!

I miss nertz, too Allison. My favorite game.

ok, um, i didn't understand any of that horton hears a who thing. I'll take your word on it being fun.

if it's lost when we come over tonight, that'd be okay with me. ;)

p.s. - way to go on the more blogging and more pictures. as for the judge brownie thing, that seems like a rule that's meant to be broken.

Good job on the resolutions. not bad, not bad. That is hilarious about the game. We have many games just like that. It's so fun to see how excited the kids get, but I know whatcha mean. We have "lost" a few of our games. They eventually return, but we all need a break. :)

I love your pictures of chasing the clovers. Very, very cute, and very tiring, but it looks like you guys were having fun. I think you could lose the game at our house for a while, if you'd like! :)

This is so funny Ash! That one with Justin and his face smashed in the couch made me really laugh! Looks like you had a lot of fun with the game....maybe too much fun...

ok, now this makes much more sense to me. before it was all, blah, blah, horton. blah, blah, clover. I had no idea what you were talking about.

thanks for the dinner the other night and introducing us to flight of the conchords. it was totally worth the hype.
