Happy Turkey Day

Yo, yo, yo, whaddup fellow internet usahz? (I'm just trying out various dialects. I don't think that one works for me.)

I want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving! I will be eating lots of turkey, stuffing, rolls, stuffing, more stuffing, pie, and an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE (or so I hear) sweet potato casserole (recipe found here), which I will be making, so hopefully it turns out as delectable as it looks. We shall see.

P.S. I will NOT be participating in any ridiculous Black Friday rituals. I have done so in the past (see previous blog entry), and, it was fun and all, but I'm beginning to really savor my few days I have to sleep in. This Friday is one of them. So to all you crazies that will attempt it, I salute you. And I hope you get killer deals. I'll sleep an extra hour in your honor.

P.S.S. I heard somewhere that on Thanksgiving, everything is worth 1/3 as many calories as every other day of the year. I swear it. So eat up.

Dearest niece, I am glad to hear that you are not participating in Black Friday, Ask your mom about the time she and I went to K-Mart at an ungodly hour to get a good deal on electric rollers for my girls. That was the first and last time I ever did that, it was brutal! I hope you and the family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am thankful for you and your family. Kennedy is a joy and I have had such a good time having her around the past couple of days, Love you.Aunt Kathy xxx

ok, so what i meant to say was merry thanksGIVING, not goving. I am not sure what goving is really.
I make mistakes; very rarely, but it has been known to happen. Forgive me and my over excited fingers.

huh. I hadn't heard that thing about Thanksgiving meals only worth a 1/3 of the calories. In that case, I'm going to eat up.

Enjoy your delicious t-giving.

Yes sleep is good! I remember when I used to sleep in...Now Brady wakes up at 7 or earlier... So, though I won't be going to any Black Friday festivities, I won't be sleeping in either... :) So sleep in memory of me too!

I thought your slang in the hood wanna hear a what what shout out was pretty sweet Ash. You make me laugh-I gobbled up plenty of turkey to last me all year. Hope the sweet pots were yummy those are one of my favs. There has to be a really good reason why it is called 'Black Friday' and I have not really ventured to see why-I also had a dream about your judge brownies, Hmmm?-never had one but that has got to mean somethin'-

Ashley, your sweet potato casserole was delicious - and I don't even like sweet potatos.

The NY Daily News reports:

A 34 year old worker died after being trampled and a woman miscarried when hundreds of shoppers smashed through the doors of a Long Island Wal-Mart Friday morning, witnesses said.

The unidentified worker, employed as an overnight stock clerk, tried to hold back the unruly crowds just after the Valley Stream store opened at 5 a.m.

I'm glad I slept in!

Luckily I wasn't at THAT walmart this morning, but sure was at one! Ok so first off, about last year's post...Love the cow picture! second, the choir singing over the coveted guitar hero...I sang the AHH's outloud! See you really get your fellow blogging buddies into your blog!

I am late with my Thanksgiving wishes...I hope yours was very nice (I'm sure it was)!! And Black Friday is not worth the insanity, I discovered many years ago. :/
