Scary fog and Christmas lights

Fog is pretty freaking cool. Does it scare me? Yes. Why? It's scary. I drive down the road in the super dense fog and I keep thinking some crazy guy with a chainsaw is going to suddenly appear out of nowhere, right in front of me. Because they do that all the time, right? Although I really don't know why that would scare me, since I could just run him over in my car. Take THAT, scary chainsaw guy.

Anyway... last night was frightfully foggy. Putting aside my fears, we went to see the Christmas lights at Temple Square (and if any of you sillies out there haven't been to see them, I suggest you do. It's a beautiful sight).

Kennedy posed for the camera every time it was pointed in her general direction.

Justin simply chose not to smile.

I wish I had as much energy as these two. I could accomplish SO much more during the day.

Awww, our darling family (and Justin looks so cute when he smiles).

Thank you, fog, for making white circles appear on my pictures which caused me to think my camera was broken.

However, look how crazy awesome the fog makes these pictures look.

Yeah, crazy awesome and SCARY.

Luckily I didn't see any guys with chainsaws.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I love fog. I have always loved fog. It's spooky and mysterious and dramatic.

I don't like driving in a heavy fog where I can't see the road, but if I can walk around in it it just feels magical. All lights have a cool glow around them, so christmas time is the best fog time...

Glad you didn't see any chainsaw guys.

I love fog! Just like your mom said it's mysterious and dramatic. Was this on Sunday? We were at the Christmas Devotional that night, it sure was a fun drive home! ;) Kennedy is so darling, I love all her posing.

How fun and frightfully foggy! you are so imaginative. I might have thought Justin was the scary guy with the chainsaw or the colorful coat with the lack of smile-ha ha ha you know I am kidding. What a cute family! Glad you had a fun time and you were "safe"-We will have to get down there sometime!

Awesome pictures! Fog is scary sometimes. During the rainy season, we get it REALLY thick around our house, which is super spooky in the garden, but even spookier driving on the road.

it's not just the fog.... it's the fog and the quiet.
it's like you are just waiting for that sixth sense moment where some gory undead person could just cross your path inches in front of you, strolling casually...
great, now i'm scared.
merry freaking christmas

I'm with Melanie on the Fog and Quiet thing. Interesting how much that cloudy, misty gray stuff can muffle sound. It's cool.

Nice pictures!!

Fun family activity :) Your pictures are really nice. I like to see the fog but not drive in it. You have such an active and fun imagination.

I drive through the fog almost everyday all year. Sometimes in the winter it doesn't burn off all day. I guess i see so much of it it no longer brings up any emotions at all. It is beautiful when it just brushes the tops of the hills.
