I was really mature.

So I was going through some boxes, today, and came across an old journal from when I was 9-10. I will definitely be posting more entries from it, but here is one of my favorites, so far:

March 10, 1993:
Heather Longhurst and I got in a fight today. We were in music, and I thought that I knew all of the words to the song, but I didn't. So Heather doesn't like me anymore. I am going to teach her a lesson. I am going to be mad at her to show her how it feels to have your second best friend abandon you.

I sure showed her.

LOL The funny thing is...that's the kind of manipulative logic that still seems to work on Paul. Hmmm...

LOL!! I have many entries just like that. Honestly the only reason I ever kept a journal is because of your Mother, she was an avid journal writer...

Yes.... and my journal is exceedingly embarrassing. I didn't start as young as Ashley - I was probably 12. And it's boys, boys, boys on every page....

This is awesome. Can't wait for future entries.

Did Heather ever forgive you for teaching her a lesson?

She seemed to have forgiven me... we stayed friends for quite a while after that. So we must have made up after that. :)

Craig's in time out, by the way.

Lol! I've been known to edit out some of my "really mature" journal entries. I should probably be willing to keep things more real...but I'm not. What exactly does that say about me? Maybe I don't want to know... Anyways, keep them coming!

Don't you love reading old journals? I started when I was around 7, and have since filled over 8 or 9 journals. (I lost count) Lost of gems in those pages, yikes. ;) Thanks for sharing yours. Glad you made up. ;)

see, what you should have done was to just fire back at little heather if she happens to know all the words to It's the End of the World and we Know it, by REM. In her face, sucka!

Okay, so maybe I have some issues from my 9 year old past that I need to work out. apparently...
