Alright- on with the good stuff. And I've also included a few of Kennedy's more recent drawings for your enjoyment.
K: Mom- what does "abajo" mean? In spanish?
M: It means "down."
K: Ok. Mom?
M: Yes?
K: You're goin' ABAJO.
Watching the cartoon "Kai Lan"
K: That Rintu boy sounds REALLY handsome. I'll bet he is.
Gma: Kennedy, can you guess what I'm going to be for Halloween?
K: Hm... a vampire?
Gma: No
K: A devil?
Gma: No. I'll give you a hint. I'm going to wear black, and I'm going to wear a hat.
K: A princess?
Gma: No...
K: Hm....
Mom: Kennedy- its starts with a "W"
K: A WINDOW!!
Alright. Now if all of you would please take a look at this picture. Pay particular attention to the figure on the right:
More particularly, his nether regions.
This was our conversation:
K: Mom- what do you think THAT is? [pointing to the small square dangling in between the legs of said figure]
M: Hmm.... I don't know... is it... a cracker?
K: No. These three have clothes on, but THIS boy doesn't [pointing, again, to said figure]
M: Ok. Is it a hand?
K: No, mom. He's naked.
M: It's a boy?
K: Yes. And that thing is right HERE. [pointing to her nether regions]
M: Um... alright. Is it a penis?
K: YES! It IS a penis! Good job, mom.

LOLROF.... tears running...
"It IS a penis! GOOD JOB Mom!"
Maybe I should try to adapt my costume and BE a window.....
Can't wait to see you guys in less than 2 weeks!
P.S. thank you for using the words nether regions
you know, I don't usually actually laugh all the way out loud, but I did this time. Good job, mom...
I just looked more closely at the faces on the snails. I LOVE them... lol...
Good Job, Ashley. You correctly identified the mystery body part.
I, too, enjoyed the faces on the snails.
Oh my gosh, that girl is hilarious!! I love that your first answer was "Is it a cracker?"
Oh how funnnnnnnnnnny :o) Kennedy is such a hoot. I hope your printing all of these out for her to have in book form when she is older. Cracker hahaha. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
That is too hysterical! I am so dreading the anatomy and "Birds and the bee's" discussions to come! She is the funniest little girl, I love Kennedyisms!! :-)
PS - Do you know where or how to print blogs off in book form? I've heard you can get them made into books, but I don't know how/where. Just a random question. ;-)
Good Job Ashley!!! I can't get my kids to call it a penis to save their lives!!
Wow, Kennedy is hilarious. And so is her mother. They must both get it from Ashley's brother, don't you think? *blank stare*
@Sara - One way to get your blog printed you might want to check out is www.blogbooker.com. For really nice looking printing, you may also want to look into www.blurb.com, which can extract posts from some blogs. Good luck!
Well there you go, a perfect little entrance into one of those delightful "birds and the bees" discussions. Man, I guess you have to start young these days!
Lovely! what an ARTIST! for some reason I find the word penis just wierd. Well, I hate the word actually. good job for using the right term. Hmmm...Yes, I do have three boys. Nether regions may come in handy. ha ha ha
LOLOLOLFL. Very good, mom! She continues in her brilliance.
I'd like to know what those 4 kids are standing on... it looks like a clothes line.
Also, what is happening in the picture above it? Is that a monster? A mean teacher?
I would like to see Allison as a window...your daughter is hilarious.:)
@Brit- I don't mind using the word penis, but it's probably because I don't have a boy. However, I have a REALLY hard time using the word "vagina" with her. She still says "pee pee". LOL
@Mom- those kids are standing on slides. They slide down them and then they turn into pancakes.
As far as the angry person, well, you see how it looks like there are a few "couples" holding hands? Those couples want to get married and the mean guy is making it so they can't get married. Somehow.
Oh- and the top picture is of us standing around an ice cream truck. :)
Ok that was funny! Kennedy is too funny!
I am glad that you have a daughter that can help you learn and grow.
although I am sure she tires of such a big commitment.
she was probably like, "a cracker?! How did I even get here?"
poor, poor girl.
HIGH LARIOUS. I think Kennedy is so smart she was pullin' Grandma's leg a little bit with the "window" comment.
Oh Ashley, your daughter is amazing, girrl you will need to be on your toes at all times...this is a rare breed and oh so beautiful.
Ashley,Your old aunt Kathy needed a good laugh today and Kennedy, bless her heart gave it to me. Thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to seeing you when your mom comes into town.
I love these. She is so funny!
These are the best posts EVER! Thanks for another round of laughs!
