Babies, a spider and a beauty queen

I've had a busy week. First, I go see the babies (Ivy on the left, Kaia on the right). FREAKING ADORABLE. They are both healthy and mom is doing great, as well, besides getting little to no sleep at night.

Next, a ginormous spider decides he can make himself at home in MY house. Does he pay rent? Did I carry him in my womb for nine months?? Has he ever done anything to make me even remotely happy?? No. He can't live here.

But, believe it or not, he's a cute furry jumping spider and I couldn't end his life. So I caught him and let him go in my neighbor's garden (sorry, neighbors).

Then, I have a fabulous daughter who loves to make me laugh. Tonight she came out of her room in this:

Thank you, Kennedy, for reminding me why I love being a mom, so much. I love you :)

First, those babies are too adorable. Almost makes me want another...give me another year or so.

Second, I will NEVER in my life refer to a spider as cute. Fake spider can be cute (halloween decor, costumes, etc.), but not the real thing. Not ever.

Third, being a mom is the best. And Kennedy is adorable. Ashlyn has not yet gotten into the "princess" thing. I wonder if/when she will?

Ok, yes, they are so freakin' cute!! Almost makes me want twins myself... almost.

Second, that gynormous spider scares the crap out of me! YUCK! I have no other words...

And last, She is a cutie! I bet you're never starved for entertainment with her around. :)

those little babies are adorable!!!

And I wish you would have killed the spider. I just know it's going to make it to my house.

I love that goofy little girl. She is so silly and makes me laugh too.

Those babies are so sweet - did you take those photos?

Spiders belong in the garden where they can eat bugs. That is where he must live.

What cute twins! It almost makes me think that'd be fun... and then I remember how much work it is (my hubby's bf and his wife have twin girls). Phwew! ;-)
Your daughter is adorable. Girls are so fun. Maybe someday I'll have one...

ok.. the sight of those two newborns scare me a little given my current situation.
ok.. the sight of that spider scares me a little due to the fact it is nasty and furry and why did you not end it's scary little life again?
ok.. the sight of your sassy little princess let's me know you are in for it come teenage years! get prepared.

I'm getting a lot of flack for letting the spider go. Clarification: I USUALLY smash them or flush them. But I guess I felt I needed to do a good deed for the day. And that was it.

Jamie- my prediction is that Ashlyn will get into princess by the time she's 3 and will be full blown when she's 4/5. Good luck with that. :)

And mom, yes- I did take those pictures. Your camera is amazing.

Mel... um... yeah. I'm sorry you had to see this post about the twins. Don't let it scare you too much.

I am wondering why you took a picture of that spider?! I would probably be having a seizure if I saw such a thing in my house. You have a much bigger heart than me for letting it go. I would call hazmat to come get it out of my house!

Your daughter is so darn cute! I love the dress up stages.

I gotta be honest, I am a little jealous that you get to see the twins more than I do! I can't wait till they get bigger and all of us can have girl outtings! hehe

Iv'e heard giant spiders are invading Utah. They are the most sickening things on this earth. Kennedy reminds me of Ashlie. There is not a day that she is not in a dress.

I have a good laugh every time I visit your blog. I love seeing the pictures, hearing of the latest adventures of my great granddaughter and just everything that is going on in your lives. G.R

I thought I wanted twins until I had a baby. They are so cute though. By the way that spider freaks me out just looking at it. I think I'm going to have nightmares!

Ashley has a natural gift behind the camera - she just has a great eye for composition. And, of course, she has some great subjects to work with : )

i'm with your friend that said you can't call a spider cute. it's just wrong. (excluding halloween decorations and the like) Also, that spider is going to have babies and come back to stake it's claim.

second kennedy is so funny. her outfit makes me laugh.
