Knock knock.

Who's there?

It's me!

"Me" who?

Me, Ashley!!

 ...  ...

You know.  Me...?  I (used to) write on this blog? ... no?

*Sigh. Anyway.

Well hi.  First of all, let's ignore the fact that it is August 3 and this is my first blog post for 2015.

Ignored. Check.

You know how a lot can happen in a year? Well, it can. A lot can also happen in just eight months. And I have the pictures to prove it.

However, instead of boring you by putting 8 months worth of pictures into one super lengthy blog post (because LBH - no one wants to look at 8 months worth of my pictures all at once except for me, and because it is utterly impossible for me to pick just a few pictures for those 8 months), I will split my super lengthy blog post into two somewhat average-length blog posts.

Starting with where we left off.  Because that makes sense.

DECEMBER

We visited Santa Claus at Casey's work.
(Santa sure looked (and smelled) a whole lot like Casey.)

We spent Christmas week up in Pocatello with Casey's family.
My mom came up with us, too- and it was really nice to have her there.

We played for hours in the freshly-fallen snow.

And some of us ate said freshly-fallen snow. (Not the yellow kind.)

Kennedy loved playing with her best furry friend.

The feeling was completely mutual.

To get in the Christmas spirit, the kids acted out the nativity scene.

It was hilarious. And they were way too adorable for words.

The whole Price/Harding clan! (Photo cred: my mom.)

JANUARY
Happy 2015!

I went on a girls' trip to sunny San Diego with these lovely ladies.

And went on a spooky ghost tour.
No ghost sightings. Boo. (See what I did there? Hahaha)

We skied a bunch. When it actually snowed. (grumble)

FEBRUARY

Kennedy was the "student of the week." For a week.

Casey caught a rogue chicken in our front yard.

MARCH
(This month was crazy.)
Kennedy was Elvis at school.
"Thankyouverymuch."

Then she was a cowgirl in a play called "Lightning Larry."

AND we went to Salt Lake Comic-con for an
afternoon to witness the craziness. There was definitely craziness.

She was so excited to see THE REAL Draco Malfoy.

Oh- also, we bought a new house. Well actually, an old house.
So, we moved. (This is before paint and carpet)

This house needed (still needs) a lot of work.

Starting with wallpaper removal. (My two besties worked
like crazy to help me in the process. And wine. Wine helped, too.)

Then it needed paint. And carpet.

We lived like this for the entire month of March.

And this. It wasn't awesome. (We also lived
in my grandma's basement for a few weeks
so we didn't get high from paint fumes.)

I was so happy for March to go away.

But we all know that March showers bring April vacations. ... or something like that.

Tuesday shenanigans

I usually put my Christmas tree up the weekend of Thanksgiving. However, since this year we were in Vegas with
and
(and since they're so adorable, here's a closer picture of
and
)  <-- this is not a typo. I'm closing my parentheses, thank you.

eating
prepared by
we weren't home to trim the tree.

So we did it today, instead.
After I OCD-ing-ly (it's a word.) strung the lights, Miss K adorned the tree with all of our beautiful ornaments (I may or may not have given into my obsessive-neurotic tendencies and rearranged most of them after she went to bed...).

This is probably favorite ornament- a flying pig. (Compliments of my wonderful mother.)

Maddie was feeling a bit left out, so she asked us to decorate her, too. She was much happier after that.

Ta da!

Happy December and Merry Christmas!!

Fun in Sun Valley

Having a significant other has its obvious benefits...
like having someone to go to sleep with and wake up next to every day
and always having someone to reassure you "Yes, I promise you look great, honey"
and having someone leave the toilet seat up (which I'm telling myself is a benefit, because it reminds me that he puts up with my hair in the drain and my bobby pins all over the place)...
and being able to annoy the same person for the rest of your life...
and having said person annoy YOU for the rest of your life...
But one benefit that wasn't quite so obvious to me was gaining all of Casey's wonderful friends!
AND one great benefit of having these cool new friends is getting to take mini weekend getaway trips!
A few weeks ago, we went up to Sun Valley, Idaho with some of these fabulous friends to enjoy the great outdoors with some fresh air and sunshine. (While it was still kind of warm. Because as I am currently typing this, it's a balmy 24 degrees outside. Uggghhh.)  I had never been to Sun Valley, but I'd heard about how beautiful it was and was excited to see it for myself. I was not disappointed.

We stayed at a friend's friend's house (huge house) up there, and each family had their own bedroom, which was pretty dang convenient.

Kennedy was beside herself with excitement because she got to sleep above us on the top bunk.

We took advantage of the gorgeous scenery and fall weather by going on a bike ride!

Aw, cute family.

The leaves were showing off the colors of autumn in all their splendor and glory.

Riding a single-gear bike is hard. It also promotes heavy complaining from 10 year old girls. (But she made it to the end without dying, much to her surprise.)

Back at the house/cabin, Kennedy fell in love. With this little 1 yr old angel named Malia. She carried her around everywhere Malia would let her. It was adorable.

And uncle Casey got some quality reading time in with our darling nieces.

Kennedy showed Casey her mad bball skillz.

We went shopping in the town, and Kennedy "babysat" Malia.
"Mom- it feels like she's my little sister! I love it!"
... I'm getting a lot of pressure from this little girl to pop out another one. Not yet, babe. Not yet.

A big chair.

These two again, though. Right? Seriously inseparable. If this is how easy it will be for me to have another kid, I might consider it. Eventually.

On the last day of the weekend, the whole clan (almost the whole clan) went for a bike ride to go get some grub in town. What a fun group of people.

And Kennedy was able to borrow a 21-speed bike for the ride. There was a lot less complaining. And also no dying.

We had such a FUN weekend. I think we may just have to do this annually!

Look how pretty.

Hi! I was looking through some photos and thought "You know what, Ashley? You told your (3) faithful blog followers that you would post the professional wedding pictures when you got them. Don't be a liar. Post those pictures."

So here you go.

I am no liar.

Just a procrastinator.

But trust me- these pictures are well worth the wait. (In my opinion. Which is the only one that matters, right now, since this is my blog.)

There were about 9,000,000 pictures to choose from. And as wonderful as that sounds, it was hard to choose my favorites. And I don't even know if these are my favorites! Decisions are hard. #firstworldproblems

Anyway, I eventually narrowed it down to these beauties (I basically did it eeny, meeny, miny, moe style. Like a boss.). Look how pretty:

"I promise to always be okay with the fact that you're cooler than me." - my husband

Fierce.

My hair smelled amazing.

LOVE this picture. So many perfect things happening all at once.

That's a good lookin' couple, right thurr. (Again, only my opinion matters.)

(This picture just melts my heart.)

My family!!

Gorgeous girls. My niece and my pseudo daughters.

Brother and sister!

This is the entire wedding party. We are sure lucky to have so many amazing people in our lives :)
