Staying classy

Today at school, Kennedy's teacher asked the kids to draw and write about where they were going for Thanksgiving.

I'll bet her teacher was jealous.

Surprisingly enough, and much to Kennedy's chagrin, we will not be going to McDonald's. Instead, we are going to Mimi's, which has a slightly better selection of Thanksgiving cuisine. Only slightly.

Hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving. I'm thankful I have such wonderful friends and family :)

Please don't grow up.

This video makes me really happy... and yet, really sad. Please stop growing up!

Fall fun

My brother and his wonderful family are back in the states for a short visit. (Too short, if you ask me.) This last weekend, we were lucky enough to have his sweet daughters play at our house for 5 whole days! Kennedy was in heaven.

All of the girls had a blast (besides the fact that the two girls were deathly afraid - and justifiably so - of our 5 months old puppy aka SATAN!! I'll leave that for another post, however).

Some of the fun things we did while my nieces were here for a visit:

We went ice skating.

We went out to dinner and entertained ourselves while waiting for our food.

And we helped Justin rake the leaves.

'Twas quite a successful weekend. I will be sad to see them go back to Costa Rica. Although they may just find that their suitcase is 120 pounds heavier than usual... hahaha!

Ok, fine. 130 pounds.

Kennedyism

The last two posts have been about Kennedy. Why? Because I am in love with her.

This post is no exception.

This morning as we were getting ready for school/work:

K: Mom- you go to the bathroom really fast. Dad doesn't.
Me: Yeah, I suppose that's true.
K: You go to the bathroom fast like a car on the freeway. Daddy goes like a tricycle.

I complimented her on the very creative analogy.
